Alresford (pronounced Allsford) is a small Hampshire town with a beautiful Georgian centre. Mentioned in the Doomsday Book, Alresford was, for many centuries, a prosperous wool town, fringed to the north by the River Arle, the town is set in delightful Hampshire countryside.

A range of shops to suit day to day needs, pre-school to comprehensive schooling, churches of several denominations, an 18-hole golf course on the outskirts of the town and a range of other sporting activities can be found in the area.

Communications:
The City of Winchester is some 8 miles to the west, whilst Alton is 11 miles to the east and Basingstoke, which is some 17.5 miles to the north. All these towns offer main line rail services to London (Waterloo).

Access onto the M3 can also be found at Basingstoke, Winchester and Southampton, which is some 15 miles to the north. Southampton is approximately 18 miles distant, whilst Portsmouth and the cross channel ferries are about 35 – 40 minutes distant via the M3 and M27.
