Beat the “Sporting Doldrums” this year

Andrew Meehan at Keats Grayshott office has been pondering the
forthcoming market for this year. He can see that this years
sporting activity will be rather different to other years and his
advice is that “June is too late”.
So, start thinking now about marketing your home at the end of
April/beginning of May at the latest. There is going to be so much
sport on evening and weekend television this year, so to avoid the
normal "Wimbledon Blues" effect which we usually find dulling the
market for 10 days or so, and beat the market - get your house on
the market before this sporting summer affects the market.
As you will see listed below, there is a more or less continuous
six weeks or so of distractions, and here at Keats Estate Agents,
we are keen to counteract the doldrums this Olympic year is likely
to bring to the property market.
Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday June 4 and 5
Euro Football Championships June 8 - July 1
Wimbledon June 22 - July 8
England v Australia - cricket June 29
The Open - Golf July11 - July 15
The Olympics July 27 - Aug 12
In addition to all these events there are of course, normal
summer holidays to be factored in, an annual disruption to the
housing market in general.
So here in Keats Country, we are getting ahead of the game and
preparing for a vigorous marketing campaign, aimed to counteract
this possible summer slowdown. Bring your house to the market
sooner rather than later and instruct Keats Estate Agents, the
market leaders of independent Estate Agents in your area.
