It’s Official – we are in the last week of Winter!
Yes, would you believe it – this is the last week of
Winter – according to the Met Office, who declare winter to
be December, January and February. And we are promised high teen
temperatures at the end of this week, so it must be true, Spring is
almost sprung!
Which means – Spring Cleaning! Oh yes – a great
opportunity to get your house in order and catch up with all those
jobs you have been putting off until now.
With the sun struggling through those dulled windows, get out
the Windowlene or better still, call in the window cleaner to give
them that professional finish your home deserves. Then, with the
searchlight of bright sunshine flooding into the house,
highlighting all those nooks and crannies which tend to get
overlooked, get out the vacuum cleaner and, as our predecessors
used to say, have a good “turn out” of each room.
And don’t forget your garden “rooms” –
while the daffodils may have been in flower since before Christmas,
confusing us all, there is still lots to attend to, especially our
“shop windows” – the front garden! Clear those
last autumn leaves away and give the bulbs a chance to brighten up
the border and shine.
