Increasing Demand For Haslemere Property

The property market is set to boom this spring and Keats Estate Agents is experiencing a surge in demand for homes in the Haslemere area, from both house-hunters and tenants.

There is no doubt that we are experiencing one of the busiest markets in years, with the number of buyers enquiring about properties for sale at a record high.

Property portal Rightmove has released its latest house price index, claiming this was the best sellers’ market in a decade. Figures reveal that two-thirds of properties on estate agents’ books have had their sales agreed.  As a result, the average asking price rose by 2.7 per cent in the year to hit £321,000.

Rightmove predicts that property price rises should remain moderate through the year because of tighter lending criteria making it more difficult to secure a mortgage.

It also expects more sellers to put their homes on the market this spring, tempted by the stamp duty holiday extension and surging demand.
